Tomoda debuted in 2002, retired in March 2010, and returned in August 2016 as an exclusive performer for Madonna, the mature-women label. She marks the anniversary of that return every August, and in 2026 noted that the second half of her career had outlasted the first. Her catalogue on FANZA now runs past a thousand titles, the most recent of them a Madonna VR production assembling ten of the label's exclusives. Away from shoots she keeps regular evenings behind the counter at Labyrinth, a bar she works with Chisato Shoda and Chitose Yuuki, and the shift announcements — who is in tonight, whether there is still a seat — are the steadiest thing on her timeline. The rest is events: the Yokohama Abunai Jukujo night, Fechi Fes, where she spends the weekend cooking yakisoba for the staff, a radio recording in Halloween costume. What she posts is ordinary life rather than promotion. A dentist appointment that left her drinking through a straw, a guerrilla downpour followed by an earthquake warning, a question about which ramen people like.
